Summer Oceans of Aqua Style Guide

Summer's color is definitely Aqua this year and rightfully so! This color has popped up in every ocean hue imaginable and with such a variety there is a shade that looks good on everyone! We are simply crazy about the color!

Mozza
Aqua Options we are loving for our Mozzas:
  • Go casual in a more structured Aqua tee! We love our featured style, it is perfect for Mozza! It is designed to cut in at the waist and fit well through the shoulders. This is a great way to wear a tee without hiding your waist & without being too confined and lets not forget the super cute fringe that perfectly frames curvy hips!
  • A halter top, fit n flare dress is a great cut on Mozza! It lives to its name as it fits to form to the upper body and flares out to an A line at the bottom for a great, curve accentuating look that isn't too form fitting!
  • Mozzas can pull of a Maxi nicely for Summer. Remember to find one with some structure to the bodice. Some pleating coming out of the bust line or waist line will help the often clingy material of most maxis, flow easily over your lower curves for a great casual look!

Chala
Aqua Options we are loving for our Chalas:
  • Chalas can't go wrong with most halter tops. We love this Aqua animal print with the peep hole! A peep whole is a great way to bring the eye to the bust without giving away too much. Pair it with tight skinnies for a very balanced look! The tightness of the jeans gives interest to the lower half by creating instant curves!
  • A flare bottom dress with a U shaped neckline is a great cut for Chala! The U gives the bust area noticeable interest while the flare that falls below the hips brings the eyes down. Our inspiration piece perfectly tops this look off with a coordinating belt to draw the waist in. Perfect curvy look without all the cling!
  • We love bodycon dresses on Chalas! Especially our featured one! This Aqua ombre piece is light on the top and bottom halves, darkening in the middle to really draw the waistline in! Any piece with a darker color in the middle is going to make you look 10x curvier and the tightness of this dress will show off your other assets for a sleek, sexy look!

Tawnie
Aqua Options we are loving for our Tawnies:
  • Tawnies always rock shorts, no problem! Try an aqua colored denim or textured fabric to give a little bit of weight to your lower half to give you some curve appeal. Adding decorative front or low side pockets will also help with this affect.
  • Rock a sheer, 2 tiered romper or dress! The break in the tiers will give you an well defined waist while the tiers flow out to create dramatic curves on the top & bottom!
  • Sport a maxi with a tied up tee or halter! Showing a little skin on your midsection will draw focus to your waist and give you a curvier look. Try a bias cut stripe print on the skirt. The angling of the striped into a downward V will further create the look of curves on your bottom half!

Jozie
Aqua Options we are loving for our Jozies:
  • A belted katan or tunic top always look great on a Jozie! They can be dressed up or down depending on your fabric choice and what you pair them with. For a dressier look, pick a silky fabric and pair with straight cut jeans, slacks or a sleek skirt and heels. To go more casual pick a cotton or ploy blend and pair with denim cutoffs or khaki shorts and sandals.
  • Maxi dresses are a great pick. They tend to be clingy on the top for bust emphasis and flow downward. Try a maxi with an aqua color that has defined waist for a more casual but still sexy look.
  • A belted kaftan dress is super flattering on your body type. The V shape flutter down the sides of the dress create a reverse illusion of a fuller top and minimized hips. The belt waist will make your waist look super small. This is a great look for work or even a casual dinner or drinks with the girls,

Suza
Aqua Options we are loving for our Suzas:
  • An aqua colored deep V neck tunic that has a defined high waist or that you can belt right under the bust is a great choice for Suzas. The low V shape will make the torso pulled in & leaner. The high waist will give the top a shape that flows over the midsection for a sleeker look.
  • Try a front knot halter in an aqua shade with a racer back. The halter will show off your tone, lean arms, while the knot gives flow to the bodice of the top and the racer back forms a vertical line that makes your back look long & lean. You can't find a better top choice!
  • An fun aqua colored asymmetrical dress with draping like our choice above is a great part dress, dinner date or night out with the girls pick! The one shoulder top will show off your lean limbs while the draping across the body will flawlessly flow down for a flattering silhouette!

Lola
Aqua Options we are loving for our Lolas:
  • I love our featured jersey dress for our Lolas! It is perfect! The V cut torso pulls the eyes in and then the bust knot is draped out in another V to give this look a perfect hour glass effect! The slight flow of the skirt also adds volume to leaner hip. You could search the world over and not find a dress more perfect!
  • We love this aqua colored, retro'ish body con for our Lola ladies! The shallow V is perfect with slightly capped sleeves to create a large V shape to the top half. Adding a thick band of darker color to the waist of any outfit will give an immediate illusion of a smaller waistline and by adding large decorative pockets right on the hips you get instant volume on your hips! Adding any one of these elements is a great way to flatter your body!
  • Lolas should definitely show off their lean, sexy legs & no better way than shorts! Look for a pair with a slightly wider leg and large front or side pockets to give you a proportional look...and if they are aqua, all the better!
