Lola Style Guide

Our fashion expert’s tips to flatter your Younique Lola Body!
Remember these are only guidelines- fashion is all about fun and feeling your best! So if you feel good in it, don’t be afraid to rock it!

Your body challenge: Minimizing your shoulders & back
Parts you want to accentuate: Your slim hips and legs

Tops
  • Try open-neck and V-neck tops.
  • Look for clothes with lines and patterns that add vertical interest above your waist.
  • Longer tops will lengthen your torso and slim your waist, bringing your shape into balance.
  • Buy a couple of layering tank-tops to extend shirts you love that fall shorter than desired
  • Slight ruffles, a neck tie, or lace can really flatter your torso and give your whole look more feminine appeal.
  • Wear a shirt with a more blousy effect and a waist tie. Shirts that softly cinch at the waist can add softness to your frame.
  • Slightly flowing shirts with puffed sleeves will soften arms and shoulders.
Dresses
  • Find a dress with details. Plain dresses won’t increase your feminine appeal as much as in delicate silk crepe.
  • Halter dress with thick straps would make your shoulders appear smaller.
  • Empire waist dresses are great for Lolas, they accentuates your breasts and add some value at the bottom
  • Wrap dresses look great on most bodies and you are no exception. The diagonal lines and defined waste do all the work on this dress.
Bottoms
  • Wear short skirts to show off your longer legs.
  • Wear skirts that flare to balance your wider top. Flared-leg pants can achieve the same effect.
  • Try a slight tulip shape to play up your hips and toned thighs.
  • Choose a skirt with a few feminine accents around the hemline to balance your curves and draw the eyes to another area.
  • Try bootcut or wider leg styles to flatter toned legs
  • Pants with embellished or flap-style pockets help balance out hips with shoulders.
  • Choose bottoms with prints that will pull the eye to the lower body
Jackets & Blazers
  • Look for no lapels or small collars
  • Look for jackets that have one row of buttons, also known as single breasted.
  • Keep you blazers hitting mid to lower hip. Any shorter and you'll risk looking boxy and short.
  • Try a very structured blazer that flares out slightly from the waist to help give volume to your hips and show your waist.
Shoes
  • Try shoes that are long and lean will create a more balanced line
  • Flatter your calves with a traditional pump and a slightly thicker heel.
  • Lolas can highlight slim ankles by picking t-strap or ankle strap heels with a thin heel.
  • Tall boots that form to your leg
  • Bold colored or prints on your shoes will also help pull the eye to the lower half of your body.
Accessories
  • Match tops with long necklaces to help elongate your neck.
  • Large bangles, stacked bracelets & cuffs will help give your look balance.
  • Use a statement belt to create a centerpiece to your outfit. Look for embellishment like rhinestones, studs or a big buckle.
  • Keep necklaces and chains on the chest or right above the cleavage. Anything laying on top of your blessed bust will make you appear fuller at the top.
  • A bag with a long shoulder strap works best with your body. Keep the strap free of embellishments. A messenger or hip slug bag will help balance out your hips with your shoulders and are a perfect style for Lolas. Try to avoid anything short that hits near the bust or under the arm.
  • Smaller earrings will help keep you from appearing to voluminous on your top half.
