When most people think ruffles, they think elegant and dressy. While this can be true, this Summer is showing us that ruffles can range from super glam to super casual, hippie to rocker. Ruffles are a lot more versatile than you think!

Mozza

Piece we are loving for your body:
  • A simple, thin strapped sundress with a light neckline ruffle is a perfect choice for Mozzas! Choose a light fabric that will flow across your curves and make sure you define your waist either with a sown in waistline or by belting your dress. This will keep the ruffle from making you look top heavy.
  • A top with a neckline ruffle that extends down into a long, vertical line is a great way to surrender your waist while still keeping  it defined. A long vertical line down the torso will elongate and visually pull the waist in. Pair this top up with straight legged jeans or your favorite cutoffs.

Chala
Pieces we are loving for your body:
  • A ruffled, one shouldered dress with a slight A line skirt is a perfect choice for Chalas. The exposed skin on the shoulder will give your upper body a bit more volume while the A line of the skirt does the same for your lower half. Add a thinner belt for an oh so curvy look or leave unbelted to go a bit more natural and casual.
  • A spaghetti strapped tank with a waist flare ruffle will show off enough skin on your shoulders and arms to draw the eyes in while the flare right at the hip bone will give your hips a boost to create a completely casual but perfectly balanced look! Pair with your favorite skinnies or cutoffs and go!

Tawnie
Pieces we are loving for your body:
  • A ruffled, one shouldered dress with a slight A line skirt is a perfect choice for Tawnies. The exposed skin on the shoulder will give your upper body a bit more volume while the A line of the skirt does the same for your lower half. Add a thinner belt for a curvy look and pick a light, airy fabric to keep from looking overpowered by stiff, bulky fabric.
  • A tank with a waist flare ruffle is a great way to play up your figure. Choose a low V or U neck to give your bust a boost while the flare right at the hip bone will give your hips some umph. To create figure flattering and completely  balanced look pair with your favorite skinnies or bermudas!

Jozie
Pieces we are loving for your body:
  • Jozies should definitely try a dress that has draped ruffles along the shoulders. Our inspiration piece ruffles down into the bodice to create a super volumizing V effect for the top half of the body. Look for some waist structure in the dress and pick a fabric that is lighter to gently skim across the body.
  • A blouse with ruffle detailing around the shoulders or bust will instantly give your top half a kick. You can also try ruffles, ruching or pleating that falls on a diagonal across the body for a shape intensifying look.  Pair up with your favorite straight legged jeans or slacks and you are set!

Suza
Pieces we are loving for your body:
  • Try a dress with a dropped waist and ruffled bottom to really play with your shape! The dropped waist will skim over the torso while the ruffles give the hips volume to create lower curves! Sleeves is always a great option for Suzas to show off your great arms!
  • Try a racer cut halter with lightly layered ruffles that fall over the torso. Racer cuts are great for showing off your sexy arms & shoulders. The layered ruffles give you a soft & feminine look while flowing down off your waist.  Pair with a funky printed slack or your favorite jeans!

Lola
Pieces we are loving for your body:
  • Try a blouse with girlie ruffles on the sleeves and collar. This looks helps to soften your torso and gently flows into your waist.  Pair with short, soft texted shorts or Bermudas in a fabric like lace or linen that will give your hips a bit of volume and show off your fabulous legs for a soft, sweet look perfect for your body!
  • Lolas should definitely try an A line dress with lots of volumizing ruffles on the lower half! The cut of the skirt with the volume the ruffles add are a great way to play up your body and the illusion of lower body curves.
